History:

DeLaRosa Studio was established in 1999 by the owner and principal designer Marcie DeLaRosa. Her career began in 1985, assisting on commercial and residential design projects. After working for many years in Chicago, she relocated to Miami Beach, where she continued to work on commercial and residential projects. Residential projects lead to commissions in the Caribbean, which included a hotel property.

In 1998, Ms. DeLaRosa was part of a design team hired to renovate Little Palm Island Resort in the Florida Keys. Ms. DeLaRosa displayed an intimate, non-corporate approach to hotel design. It was this quality that captured the owners of the resort. Since that time she has maintained a close relationship with the hotel company and has worked on all twelve of their properties at one time or another. These projects have ranged from the re-design of just a few rooms, to entire property renovations.

Professional Services:

Marcie DeLaRosa is the firm’s principal designer and works directly with clients on all design decisions. She is assisted by a staff of one or two people, depending on the project. DeLaRosa Studio maintains a high level of quality by taking on only a few projects a year.

In the early stages of a project we prefer to meet on site to review environmental conditions particular to the design. We open a dialog with the owner to establish a vocabulary for the aesthetic that becomes the foundation for the final design.

We make an initial presentation which consists of photo collages and finish materials that we feel meet the design direction. In this presentation the major elements of the project will be addressed. The client will be shown options for most major elements and we work out details as we progress.

We offer full interior design services including furniture, fabric and finish material specifications. Should custom furniture or lighting be required, we have numerous sources to meet the needs of a project. We also provide purchasing services through the completion of the project.
